Boxing fans around the world are in for a treat in November with a lot of exciting fights scheduled for the month. The matchups will definitely drive up online boxing betting because there is a lot of value to be found in the fights scheduled for November.
One of the fights fans are looking forward to the most is the rematch between Martin Murray and Arthur Abraham. Murray will be trying to avenge his title defeat at the hands of Abraham, who won the first fight between the two men by split decision.
After the first fight, Murray felt he got robbed, so this is a chance for him to prove he is the better fighter, and one he won’t want to leave in the hands of the judges. The WBO International Super-Middleweight belt will be online again for the fight.
Another great fight on the card is between Luis Ortiz, who gets the top billing, and Malik Scott. Ortiz will be trying to improve his impressive record of 22 knockouts in 25 fights when he takes on Scott for the WBA Inter-Continental title. It will also be Ortiz’s first fight in Europe since he signed with Matchroom Boxing.
Jamie McDonnell will be defending his WBA World Bantamweight championship when he takes on Liberio Solis. It will be McDonnell’s fifth defense of his title, and the toughest fight of Solis’s career because McDonnell is coming off impressive wins over Tomoki Kameda and Fernando Vargas.
Solis, who is also a former Super-Flyweight champion, will be trying to hold bets at two different weight classes for the second time on his career. He came close to achieving the feat in March when he went up against WBC king Shinsuke Yamanaka in Japan, however, he was eventually outpointed by the champ.
Solis felt he would have been given the decision victory over Yamanaka if the fight didn’t take place in Japan, but that’s part of the fight game and he acknowledged that, which is why he will be trying to finish his opponent this time around.
Stephen Smith is also going to be on the card and he is happy he will be getting a second shot at a world title as he will be challenging WBA Super-Featherweight champion Jason Sosa for his title.
In April, Smith got his first title shot against Jose Pedraza, in a fight that took place in Connecticut. Despite putting up a good fight, Smith was outpointed by Pedraza, and took the loss. Instead of wallowing in his defeat, Smith bounced back a month later with an impressive win over Daniel Brizuela a month later.
For Sosa, this will be his first title defense since he defeated Javier Fortuna for the title in June. In his fight against Fortuna, Sosa dominated his opponent, and will be trying to do the same to Smith when they face each other.
Over the last two years, the Sporting Monte-Carlo has been the venue for two big title fights. In October 2014, Randy Cabellero defeated Stuart Hall for the IBF Bantamweight belt, and in February 2015, Gennady Golovkin defended his belt against Martin Murray.
