Many MMA and boxing fans are using bet365 deposit bonus to put money on the fight happening between UFC superstar Conor McGregor Vs. boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. Even the fact that Mayweather has officially retired has not put the rumors of the fight happening to bed. It is a spectacle that both sets of fans want to see and would undoubtedly break all PPV records.

McGregor is by far the biggest star in the UFC and has challenged Mayweather for some time as he wants to take away his undefeated record. Most experts in the sport do not believe that the Irishman stands a chance in a boxing match but still it would be interesting to see how Mayweather handles McGregor’s unusual style and amazing movement.

McGregor is the only MMA fighter in the UFC history to hold two belts at the same time in two different weight classes. Every time he fights he breaks the PPV record and he has shown that he is willing to fight anyone at any weight if the money is on the table. With interest from both MMA and boxing fans, the fight would generate millions which are the main reason money Mayweather may well be tempted to come out of retirement to face the Irishman.

Most professional boxers do not think that McGregor stands a chance in the ring against Mayweather. Video footage of a boxing sparring session between McGregor and Chris Van Heerden from South Africa did not do the Irishman any favors as he seemed to struggle against him. However, Conor has shown that come fight day he is a completely different fighter and rises to the occasion.

Bookmakers do not feel that McGregor stands a chance if the fight goes ahead as they have placed huge 11/1 odds of him getting the win. They believe it would be a one-sided affair and have Mayweather at 1/7 for the victory.

At the moment the chances of a fight between the two seems a very long way off. If the two did agree to fight it would not be that simple as McGregor has a contract with the UFC and would need to come to an agreement with the organization to allow him to fight.

McGregor is taking some time out from fighting due to him expecting his first child. He is expected to be out of the game for around 10 months. He will be badly missed by the UFC during his time out as he is the only big money draw after Ronda Rousey recently lost to Amanda Nunes and is expected to retire from the sport. It would be a huge gamble by the organization to have their only star fight in a different sport and take the limelight away from MMA.

It McGregor and Mayweather decide to fight it is likely it will not happen to at least 2018. If that is the case then Mayweather will be 41 so the chances are he will not want to take on the Notorious one at such an old age.
