According to Dereck Chisora’s promoter, Frank Warren, the British heavyweight who made headlines last month by engaging in a press conference brawl with former titlist, David Haye, has had his British boxing license revoked indefinitely.
In a whirlwind 48-hour period around his WBC heavyweight title bout last month in Munich, Germany, Chisora also brought heat on himself by slapping Vitali Klitschko in the face at the weigh-in and by spitting water in the face of Klitschko’s brother, Wladimir, upon entering the ring.
In a Wednesday hearing with the British Boxing Board of Control in Cardiff, Wales, Warren told the media that Chisora’s license was withdrawn indefinitely and that no decision has been made yet as to whether there will be an appeal.
