You know tough times have hit the heavyweight division in the United States when a 40+ year old veteran road warrior with an up and down recent won-loss tally sits at the top of the rankings.

Sadly, a shrinking fan base and several other factors have contributed to America’s best big men choosing to make money in other sports.

A glimmer of hope is on the horizon, though, as Deontay Wilder prepares to challenge for the WBC belt and Bryant Jennings continues to improve en route to a tough clash with Wladimir Klitschko.
